Quinta De Aves Muscat Volcanic Wine

Bodegas Quinta De Aves, presents us, Quinta De Aves Muscat Volcanic Wine, with origin in Campo de Calatrava (Spain) made from the Muscat variety. This wine specifically comes from grapes over-ripened in the field. With the dark harvest that is indicative of Quinta De Aves, the grapes undergo an approval process just as they enter the winery, followed by a cold maceration. The Moscatel grape has a very high sugar content and a relatively potent fruity aroma. It is popularly known as the Mediterranean grape. The fermentation is done very carefully so that at the right moment, a fermentation stop can be made by lowering the temperature and filtration, resulting in a wine with 9%vol. and 70 g/l of sugar in a natural way. The unique thing about this wine and the other volcanic wines of Quinta De Aves is that they are harvested in soils that give the grapes intense flavors, body, weight in the glass and great minerality due to the volcanic soil that surrounds them. Don Manuel Casado acquired the estate in the 1980s with a passion for the countryside and a personal connection to rural farming. Under the brand name Quinta de Aves the wines of this estate are produced, full of pure quality, fruits of knowledge, professional techniques, and love for the harvest. Quinta de Aves as a name originates from the space where the estate is located. Quinta refers to the farmhouse and Quinta de Aves is home to over 100 different species of birds. As it is located in a migratory passage of birds and in an area full of different varieties, the name is given to this estate described by bird labels, blending the wine with its surroundings at all times.
